A group for anyone who writes or would like to try writing, be it fiction, poetry, memoirs or anything else you can think of. We meet on the third Monday of the month at 2.30, currently in a member's house, and limit the group to a small enough number to share our work comfortably.
Our aim remains mainly to enjoy ourselves and learn from each other.
The format varies in response to members' interests but includes some given topics to write about, some short writing exercises and a chance to share ongoing work and receive supportive feedback.
We have published three small volumes of work to date and organised a Wirksworth and District Short Story Challenge, in collaboration with Scarthin Books and Wirksworth Book Festival.
